Community Meals Program

We started the community meals program because the need for food was so great in the community we’re currently serving (Garden City Apartments, Houston TX). This community is located in a food desert and have very little access to quality produce and other food products. Our goal with this program is to serve as many fresh, healthy and warm meals to the underserved and impoverished Black, Immigrant, People of Color (BIPOC) youth and their families who reside at Garden City Apartments in the Acres Home area of Houston, TX. In addition, we are committed to implementing an educational component that equips the community with the knowledge and resources necessary to lead sustainable, healthy lives through food. By combining our meal services with education, we strive to make a positive and lasting impact on the well-being of our community.
