DANIELLE SHIMFARR- CO-FOUNDER
Danielle Shimfarr is a serial entrepreneur passionate about building businesses focused on reshaping the community for the better. She was raised in Houston, TX, and has 20+ years of experience building and running businesses. She is also a student: of life, always in search of the next thing to make her better. She is a licensed cosmetologist & instructor, notary, CPR instructor, life insurance agent, and tax preparer.
Danielles’ passionate entrepreneurial journey evolved into a passion of empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs and independent business owners. She has always had a heart to serve and experienced joy sharing her knowledge to help others professionally and personally.
Due to her heart posture, continued education and awareness of the changes that needed to be made in her community, she founded Aknew Approach Inc. alongside her son. She finally found the nonprofit arena to be the perfect way to mend all of her passions and expertise to enact the change she has always longed for. Additionally, She loves to read self-help books and is a devoted Christian who aims to impact lives positively. Besides this, Danielle is an avid foodie who loves to travel, spend time at the beach, and create timeless memories with her family.
KEELAN WILSON- CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER / CO-FOUNDER
Keelan was born and raised in Houston, Texas. The only child to his mother who raised him. He has always had a servant’s heart, going out of his way to serve others, even as a child. He grew passionate about many things like learning, and the way people thought. This led to him always thinking bigger and wanting to achieve beyond the boundaries set before him.
Keelan eventually became the first in his family to attend and graduate from a University. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelors in Sociology and a minor in Spanish for Medical Professionals. In addition to being a graduate, he is an international scholar, as he studied in three different countries during his tenure at UT to become more multicultural and to forge a path for future young leaders coming from a similar background as himself.
Upon returning home from college, Keelan Co-Founded Aknew Approach Inc. with his mother. He has now found his place as a social entrepreneur, working out his fervor for mental health and civic engagement. Among his many passions, his greatest is the progression towards fulfilling his purpose and helping others to do the same. During his free time He likes to travel, read, participate in sports, and pick up new creative hobbies along the way. Additionally, He’s an holistic health advocate who aspires to raise the pedestal of mental health and help to establish improved healthcare systems/facilities worldwide.
